Volunteers are the heart of every successful PTO event! Without the support of dedicated parents, teachers, and community members, we wouldn’t be able to create the memorable experiences our students and families cherish. Whether it’s helping set up, running activities, or assisting with cleanup, every volunteer role makes a huge impact. Your time and energy are invaluable in making our events run smoothly and helping us reach our goals for the year.

The Star Ticket Store is one of our students’ favorite experiences! This special store gives kids the chance to “shop” using the star tickets they’ve earned through positive behavior and hard work. Volunteers help set up the store, organize prizes, and assist students as they make their selections. It’s a fun, feel-good way to support positive reinforcement at Shawnee and see lots of smiles along the way.
Help us make the Daddy/Daughter Dance a night to remember! We’re looking for volunteers to assist with set-up before the dance and take-down afterward on Friday, February 27. Even a short window of help makes a big difference—thank you for supporting this special event for our students and families!
Pastries with Parents is a special event that brings families together for a relaxed morning at Shawnee. We are looking for volunteers to help make this event a success by assisting with set-up, serving pastries and refreshments, and cleaning up after the event. Whether you can help for a short time or the full event, your support helps create a warm and memorable experience for our students and their families.

This role involves counting and organizing bagels for classroom delivery, ensuring each student receives the correct order. It’s a quick and easy way to support our school community, typically taking less than an hour in the morning. No experience necessary—just bring your smile and a willingness to help!
Important Volunteer Information
To ensure the safety of all students, all volunteers must have a current Volunteer Criminal Record Check on file with the school. This must be renewed each school year.
Once you sign up for an event, a link for the Volunteer Criminal Record Check will be emailed to you. Please note that approval can take a couple of weeks, so we encourage you to submit your form as soon as possible.
